Huge thanks to Dave and Orla of Curious Fox for hosting last night's Rixdorf Editions launch and reading in Berlin, Jodi Rose for organising and taking photos, Cara Schwartz for the brilliant artwork and most especially everyone who came along! It was a fantastic night, with a full house of lovely, attentive listeners and smart question-askers - the best start in life a new publisher could hope for.
Rixdorf Editions launch
If you're in Berlin on Thursday, 9 November 2017, we would love to see you at the launch for Rixdorf Editions' very first two books – The Guesthouse at the Sign of the Teetering Globe by Franziska zu Reventlow, and of course a title of great local interest, Berlin's Third Sex by Magnus Hirschfeld. The venue is Neukölln's wonderful Curious Fox bookshop at Flughafenstr. 22 (Rathaus Neukölln/Boddinstr. if you're coming by U-Bahn).
There will be discussion of the two books and the era in which they arose, as well as readings by translator James J. Conway. Things will be kicking off at 8 pm, but come by from 7.30 onward to grab a drink, browse the splendidly stocked shelves and get your hands on fresh Rixdorf copies at a special launch discount.
Special thanks to Cara Schwartz for the postcard flyer.
Hallo Welt
Happy birthday to us. Welcome to Rixdorf Editions and thanks for stopping by.
